I can't help but feel under pressure to then go and hype one of their looks. Somehow it feels rude if I don't...What do you do?

I still look at their pages.I try to look at everyones page. And If I like, I hype.
That's how complicated it gets.

I purposely ignore them, or delete their comments. I usually check out people's profile's if they take the time to leave a comment, but not if they're just hype-whoring. Half the time people are just spamming all the looks on the new page in an attempt to get views on their own looks. The best is when people say 'hype!' and then don't hype you. I want to e-punch them in the face for being so lame.

They're unnecessary. I always look at the looks of someone who comments on one of mine. But when they specifically ask me to, I generally expect not to hype one.

Some people think that giving hypes is like exchanging BFF bracelets with your friends... A lot of people do it that way. Anyway, I go to the profile of everybody, who left comment on my profile and if i like some look I leave a comment and hype it.

Hmmm, I would feel like they're advertising themselves. I don't like that. But it hasn't happened to me!

omg i hate it!!! so what i do is i just be fake and reply with: thanks will check them out later
the person usually forgets about it so they dont check if you hyped or not...
one thing i learned about lookbook is dont be rude, we all allowed to have our own opinion but if its not nice then rather not blair it online rather tell ur friend sitting next to u "like omfg wtf is this person even doing on lookbook"

I look at people's looks if they take the time to comment in the first place, so saying "hype meee" just makes me not want to do it.
And if I don't like the looks that you've posted, im not going to hype out of some type of guilt ya know?

I don't hype back

I put
"Nice look!
I like _______________
+hype!
=]]"

Asking for hype back will spell out instant rejection
No one likes a hype whore...

Completely agree with all of you. Hopefully (if they happen to read this thread) they'll get the gist, and quit with the desperado comments.

I rarely look on people's pages that say that. It's kind of annoying. It makes me want to look at their pages less : [ I'll hype if I want to, christ.

i think most people do it, so the best thing to do is to ignore it.
If anyone just comment without hyping, ignore it or it's fine, if they hype and then comment, good & thank you.
Though we're not here to blame anyone, c'mon guys i think lookbook is made for us fashionable people to be nice to each other and make difference from the others that are always judging bad, the way you look or whatever.

Wow…well the majority of us (if not all) agree that these comments provide them no extra hypes, and frankly are a little irritating. If you happen to read this and you make such comments perhaps take a hint......your wasting your time!

It's a given that we all love to be hyped on this site. But I don't think that it's right to ask someone to check your page, just because you commented on their page. Sorry for the term, but posting as such is like begging for a hype, and it's kinda irritating.

i dont mind if they write that, if there a newbie, then what else are they supposed to do? i used to do that when i first started out, i dont anymore though. i always check their looks out and if i like their looks ill hype :) but i dont really like people who say "HYPE MY LOOKS", a simple "please check out my looks?" would be fine.

EXACTLYYYYY!!! You would have thought they'd get the hint and yet they still do...shows just how desperate and insecure people are that they need to be hyped, and go to the extent to this type of 'begging'.

it makes me want to definately not look at their looks when i usually do to people who leave me a comment just saying "hey, nice look" or whatever.
i usually just say "yeah, i sure will :)" and then i never do.

I don't understand them, I would prefer someone hyped me because they genuinely liked my outfit than simply feeling sorry for me and hyping me because I asked...

i think they aren't as annoying as those that say really nice things and then you go to their page and look at their comments and they said the same line to everybody else on the new page ... i mean seriously don't tell me something nice that you don't mean, doesn't make any sense for me
