Here's the scenario. You're walking down the street with an outfit you really like. This outfit defines you and your personality. Suddenly, people starts looking at you in a weird way then start laughing so loud after you walk pass them.
So, the main thing is how do you react when people mocks you or laugh because of your style? Well of course you must be able to be classy at the same time right?
What do you truly feel? Hurt or you just don't care.

This is different from people criticizing your look.

Can't say I've ever gotten laughed at?! But I wore my Lita's out the other day (and not many people in my area have seen them before) and got a lot of staring... Just own it ;) I even had one lady come up to me like "corr blimey how the hell do you walk in those", I just laughed and walked off.

I don't really care what people thing or say about me. And specially not when I'm wearing something I like. I'm wearing it 'cause I like it, and they don't have to wear it, right?

I would laugh with them and start dancing.
But really, I would just walk it off I guess, I may look like shit to them but they probably look like shit to me aswell, ha!

Nah, but this never happens. If it did, I would probably not even hear it because I keep my headphones on 24/7. I've honest to god mastered the art of ignoring people.

I just start to hate that outfit too and never wear it. I wish i didn't react like that though. Like I once wanted to dress like a goth in school and when i tried to ( i didn't go mega goth with black lipstick and all, just some gothic looking pants) everyone laughed at me so i never dressed like that again :(

I've never been laughed at, but a good friend of mine told me that some people were criticizing me behind my back because I wore bright green socks with my wedges. Surprisingly enough for me, it did not really faze me.
What I do get a lot of is staring ... mostly at my shoes (since some of them are extremely tall and kind of unusual). Most of the time I don't notice it, but when I do, I like to look at the person square in the eye ... the person looking at me always gets embarrassed instead of the other way around :)

Well, people don't often laugh at my outfits but they tend to stare at me or make some offensive remarks. It makes me feel a little bit uncomfortable at first but then I look at them who are laughing and they usually look like they're allergic to nice clothes. So why should I pay attention?

I turn around, make a motion for them to suck my cock and flip them off. At night, around the bars it sometimes makes them yell, in return I start laughing at them. In daylight it just makes people uncomfortable. I might sound bitchy, but this city is much more of a bitch, so I think it is well played on my behalf.

This happens when people are unfamiliar with something. Who cares honestly? It's a free world, dress how you want and do whatever makes you feel good. I'd rather get laughed at than be suppressed to look like the average person on the street.

This literally happens to me every day at school. I just ignore it. Because I shouldn't care, especially when the people laughing at me are wearing hoodies and sweat pants.

Eh, some people just don't understand fashion due to their lack of creativity and individuality, when faced with a scenario such as this one i think I'd laugh and actually feel sorry for them. Really if it "defines" you then if they laugh let them, if you think you look great when you look in the mirror, then that's all that should matter, everybody has an opinion but its just a matter of coming to a realisation that their opinion is not valid. People are shit.

i just roll my eyeballs(not in a weird way, of course)... i tell myself that these people laughing are insicure because i can pull off looks they cant because there not confident and they lack style. but i feel sorry for them because of there lack of style and creativity, they feel rejected by our world thats why they demean us... :)

It hurts but then I think this is why I love fashion. I love it because of the reactions it causes and the emotions it stirs. So I shrug it off...at least they noticed :)
